Our goal is to provide a unique environment that encourages artistic expression and innovation, featuring dedicated studios designed for a wide range of practices—from painting, ceramics, and sculpture to large-scale installations. The proposed facility encompasses 26,000 square feet of specialized infrastructure intended to meet the structural and technical demands of contemporary art production. By consolidating operations into this single, high-capacity location, we hope to foster a supportive, collaborative community of artists pushing the boundaries of their work.

Our Vision
The foundation of 1-7Five is built upon two decades of collective experience and creative residency within the storied walls of Manufacturers Village. As a woman-owned enterprise founded by the five principal artists of 356 Artgang—the "Five" behind our name—we have spent the last twenty years refining a model of artistic excellence rooted in the pillars of skill sharing, intentional community, and a rigorous professional practice.
This proposed facility represents the culmination of those lessons—a strategic evolution designed to distill years of community building into a specialized, high-capacity workspace. At 1-7Five, we aim to carry forward our legacy of collaboration while providing the structural stability and specialized infrastructure necessary for contemporary art to thrive. By transitioning our deep-rooted expertise into this envisioned 26,000-square-foot facility, our goal is to secure a permanent home where professional artists can push the boundaries of their craft for the next 15 years and beyond.
